Open the Alexa app on your phone or tablet
Sign in with your Amazon account
Plug in your Alexa device and wait for the light ring to turn orange
In the Alexa app, tap Devices
Tap the plus icon
Tap Add Device
Select Amazon Echo
Choose your specific Echo device
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to Wi-Fi
Enter your Wi-Fi password if prompted
Wait for the device to finish connecting
Test the connection by saying “Alexa” followed by a command
