Turn on your PC
Turn on the Xbox One controller
Press and hold the Xbox button on the controller
On Windows, open Settings
Go to Devices or Bluetooth & devices
Turn on Bluetooth
Select Add device or Add Bluetooth device
Choose Bluetooth
Press and hold the controller’s Pair button until the Xbox button flashes
Select Xbox Wireless Controller from the list
Wait for the controller to connect
Connect with a USB cable
Plug the micro-USB or USB-C cable into the controller
Plug the other end into the PC
Wait for Windows to install the driver
Connect with an Xbox Wireless Adapter
Plug the adapter into a USB port on the PC
Press the Pair button on the adapter
Press and hold the controller’s Pair button
Wait for the Xbox button to stay lit
Open Steam or a game to test the controller
Update Windows if the controller is not detected
Replace the batteries or charge the controller if needed
