Remove the turkey breast from packaging
Remove the gravy packet if included
Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels
Place the turkey breast skin-side up in a roasting pan or baking dish
Brush with melted butter or oil if desired
Season with salt, pepper, and any preferred herbs or spices
Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the breast, avoiding bone
Roast uncovered at 325°F
Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F
Estimate about 1.5 to 2.25 hours for a 3-pound turkey breast
Check temperature early to avoid overcooking
If the skin browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil
Remove from the oven when it reaches 165°F
Let the turkey breast rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing
Slice and serve
