Pat the boneless beef ribs dry
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder
Preheat oven to 300°F
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat
Sear the ribs on all sides until browned
Place the ribs in a baking dish or Dutch oven
Add beef broth, barbecue sauce, or both
Cover tightly with a lid or foil
Bake for 2.5 to 3.5 hours until tender
Baste once or twice during cooking if desired
Uncover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes to thicken the sauce
Rest for 10 minutes before serving
Slice or shred and serve
