Preheat the grill to medium heat
Place the brats on the grill over indirect heat
Close the lid and cook for 15 to 20 minutes
Turn the brats every few minutes
Move them over direct heat for the last 2 to 3 minutes
Grill until browned on all sides
Cook until the internal temperature reaches 160°F
Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes
Serve on buns with desired toppings
