Preheat the grill to medium-high heat
Peel back the corn husks and remove the silk, or leave the husks on for a steamed effect
Brush the corn lightly with oil or melted butter
Season with salt and pepper if desired
Place the corn directly on the grill grates or in the husks
Grill for 10 to 15 minutes, turning every few minutes
Cook until the kernels are tender and lightly charred
Remove from the grill with tongs
Add more butter, salt, or seasonings if desired
Serve immediately
