Slice onions into rings
Separate the rings
Mix flour, salt, and pepper in a bowl
Beat eggs in a second bowl
Place breadcrumbs or batter in a third bowl
Dip onion rings in flour
Dip in egg
Coat with breadcrumbs or batter
Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer
Fry rings until golden brown
Remove and drain on paper towels
Serve hot
