Add olive oil, butter, or both
Place the polenta pieces in a single layer
Cook until the first side is golden and crisp
Flip and cook the other side until golden
Cook the edges if needed
Season with salt, pepper, herbs, or cheese
Serve hot as a side dish or base for toppings
