Pat pork chops dry
Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder
Optional: sear pork chops in a skillet for 2 to 3 minutes per side
Place sliced onions, garlic, or vegetables in the slow cooker if desired
Add pork chops to the slow cooker in a single layer
Pour in 1/2 to 1 cup of broth, sauce, or gravy
Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours
Cook until pork reaches 145°F internal temperature
Remove pork chops and let rest for a few minutes
Serve with the slow cooker juices or thicken them into gravy
