Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat
Add a small amount of oil
Add aromatics like garlic or ginger if using
Add protein and cook until nearly done
Remove protein from the pan if needed
Add vegetables in order of longest to shortest cooking time
Stir constantly to keep ingredients moving
Add sauce or seasoning
Return protein to the pan if removed
Cook until everything is hot and coated
Serve immediately over rice or noodles
