Pat the tofu dry

Coat the tofu lightly with cornstarch if you want a crispier texture
Heat oil in a pan over medium to medium-high heat
Add the tofu in a single layer
Cook until the bottom is golden brown
Flip and cook the other sides until golden and crisp
Remove from the pan and serve
Bake the tofu at 400°F until firm and browned
Air fry the tofu until crisp, shaking halfway through
Add tofu to soups, stir-fries, curries, or noodles near the end of cooking
