Choose a clear glass container with an open or partially open top
Gather gravel or small stones
Gather activated charcoal
Gather potting soil suitable for your plants
Choose small plants that fit the container
Wash and dry the container
Add a layer of gravel at the bottom
Add a thin layer of activated charcoal
Add a layer of potting soil
Remove plants from their pots and loosen the roots
Place the plants into the soil
Fill in gaps with more soil
Press the soil gently around the plants
Add small decorative items if desired
Mist lightly with water
Place the terrarium in indirect light
Water sparingly as needed
Trim plants when they outgrow the container
