Gather raw materials such as wood pulp, recycled paper, or plant fibers
Soak and break down the fibers into a pulp
Mix the pulp with water in a large vat
Add optional sizing, fillers, or dyes if needed
Dip a screen or mold into the pulp mixture to form a thin layer
Lift the screen and let excess water drain away
Press the wet sheet to remove more water
Dry the pressed sheet using air, heat, or sunlight
Smooth or finish the dried paper if desired
Cut the paper into the required sizes
