Open the image in Preview
Click the Markup toolbar button if it is not already visible
Click the Rectangular Selection tool
Drag to select the area you want to keep
Adjust the selection by dragging the handles if needed
Go to Tools
Click Crop
Save the file
Use File
Click Save or Export if you want to keep a separate copy
