In most apps, select the text you want to make subscript
Press Command + = if the app supports subscript formatting
In Microsoft Word, press Command + =
In Google Docs, press Command + ,
In Apple Pages, choose Format > Font > Baseline > Subscript
In TextEdit, use Format > Font > Baseline > Subscript if available
If no shortcut works, use the app’s Format or Font menu to find Subscript
