Rest as much as possible

Try throat lozenges for throat irritation
Avoid cold air and other lung irritants
Follow your doctor’s instructions if prescribed inhalers or other medicines
See a doctor if symptoms are severe, last more than 3 weeks, or include high fever, shortness of breath, chest pain, or blood in mucus
