Secure the acrylic sheet on a flat, stable surface

Use a straightedge to guide the cut

Score the sheet repeatedly with an acrylic scoring tool or utility knife for thin sheets

Snap the sheet cleanly along the scored line

Use a fine-tooth saw, jigsaw, or circular saw for thicker sheets

Use blades designed for plastic or fine-tooth blades with many teeth

Cut slowly to reduce chipping and melting

Keep the protective film on the acrylic while cutting if possible

Clamp the sheet firmly to prevent movement

Support both sides of the cut to avoid cracking
