Select the text, file, or item you want to move
Press Ctrl + X to cut
Click where you want to paste it
Press Ctrl + V to paste
On Mac, press Command + X to cut
On Mac, press Command + V to paste
To copy instead of cut, press Ctrl + C on Windows or Command + C on Mac
You can also right-click the selected item and choose Cut or Copy
Then right-click the destination and choose Paste
