Hold your cat securely but gently
Press each toe pad to extend the claw
Trim only the sharp tip of each nail
Avoid cutting the pink quick
Stop if the nail starts to bleed
Reward your cat after each paw or at the end
Trim a little at a time if your cat is nervous
Repeat regularly as needed
