Open Settings
Go to Apps
Select Installed apps or Apps & features
Find Microsoft Edge
Click the three-dot menu or Edge entry
Select Uninstall if available
If Uninstall is unavailable, use Group Policy or Registry to disable Edge
Open Group Policy Editor
Go to Administrative Templates
Open Microsoft Edge settings
Enable the policy to prevent Microsoft Edge from launching
Open Registry Editor
Navigate to the Microsoft Edge policy path
Create or modify the required policy values to disable Edge
Restart your computer
Set another browser as the default browser
Remove Edge from startup apps if present
Disable Edge background activity in Edge settings
Turn off Edge running in the background
Disable Edge startup boost
Unpin Microsoft Edge from the taskbar and Start menu
