Click the text box border to select it
Press Delete on your keyboard
Right-click the text box border and select Cut or Delete
If the text box is inside a shape or group, ungroup it first
If it is in a header or footer, open the header or footer and delete it there
If you cannot select it, use the Selection Pane to choose the text box and delete it
