Open the Messages app
Find the conversation containing the text message
Open the conversation
Press and hold the message
Tap Delete or the trash icon
Confirm deletion if prompted
To delete multiple messages, select the messages first if your app supports it
To delete an entire conversation, press and hold the conversation in the message list
Tap Delete conversation or the trash icon
Confirm deletion if prompted
