Press and hold the Xbox power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off
Unplug the power cable from the console
Wait at least 30 seconds
Plug the power cable back in
Turn the console back on
For Xbox One, clear Blu-ray cache by going to Settings, Devices & connections, Blu-ray, Persistent storage, then select Clear persistent storage
For Xbox Series X|S, perform a full power cycle using the steps above
To clear a specific game’s cache, highlight the game, press the Menu button, select Manage game and add-ons, then remove and reinstall if needed
To clear alternate MAC address, go to Settings, General, Network settings, Advanced settings, Alternate MAC address, then select Clear and restart
To reset system cache, go to Settings, System, Console info, Reset console, then choose Reset and keep my games & apps if necessary
