Open the Contacts app or Phone app
Tap the contact you want to delete
Tap Edit
Scroll down and tap Delete Contact
Confirm Delete Contact
Repeat for each contact you want to remove
To delete multiple contacts faster, use iCloud on a computer
Sign in to iCloud.com
Open Contacts
Hold Command on Mac or Ctrl on Windows and select multiple contacts
Press Delete
Confirm deletion
To remove synced contacts, turn off the account in Settings
Go to Settings
Tap Contacts
Tap Accounts
Select the account
Turn off Contacts or delete the account
To delete contacts from a Google account, remove them from Google Contacts
To delete contacts from a third-party app, use that app’s contact management tools
