How to Delete Lines in Excel?

Select the row or rows you want to delete

Right-click the selected row number

Click Delete

Or press Ctrl + –

Choose Entire row if prompted

Click OK

To delete multiple non-adjacent rows, hold Ctrl and select each row number

To delete blank lines, use Find & Select, then Go To Special, then Blanks

After selecting the blank cells, right-click and choose Delete

Choose Entire row to remove the full blank lines

To delete lines in a cell, select the cell and press Alt + Enter to edit, then remove the line break

To delete rows using the ribbon, go to Home, then Delete, then Delete Sheet Rows

To delete all selected rows at once, highlight the rows first, then delete

To undo a deletion, press Ctrl + Z
