Unplug the Keurig Slim and remove any pod from the holder
Empty the water reservoir and remove the water filter if installed
Fill the reservoir with Keurig descaling solution mixed with water, or with white vinegar and water if using a vinegar method
Place a large mug on the drip tray
Turn the brewer on
Run a brew cycle without a pod
Discard the hot liquid from the mug
Repeat brew cycles until the reservoir is empty
Let the brewer sit for about 30 minutes
Rinse the reservoir thoroughly
Fill the reservoir with fresh water only
Run multiple brew cycles with fresh water only
Discard each mug of rinse water
Repeat until no descaling solution or vinegar smell remains
Reinstall the water filter if removed
Wipe the exterior and drip tray dry
Reset the descaling reminder if your model has one
