Open Settings
Go to Bluetooth & devices
Select Touchpad
Turn off Touchpad
If using a laptop with a function key, press the touchpad toggle key
Check for a key with a touchpad icon, often combined with Fn
Open Device Manager
Expand Mice and other pointing devices
Right-click the touchpad device
Select Disable device
On macOS, open System Settings
Go to Trackpad
Turn off trackpad options if available
Use Accessibility settings if needed for pointer control
On Linux, open system settings
Go to Mouse and Touchpad
Turn off the touchpad
If the trackpad is disabled by BIOS or firmware settings, restart and enter BIOS/UEFI
Find the touchpad setting
Set it to Disabled
