Let the oil cool completely
Strain out food particles if you plan to reuse it
Reuse only if the oil is still clean and has not burned
Pour cooled oil into a sealable, non-recyclable container
Seal the container tightly

Take large amounts of used oil to a cooking oil recycling or grease disposal site
Never pour frying oil down the sink, toilet, or storm drain
Never pour frying oil onto the ground or into compost
