Load the drum sample or drum loop into the Channel Rack or Playlist

Distort only the kick, snare, or percussion instead of the full drum bus if needed

Lower the output gain after distortion to prevent clipping
Experiment with different distortion types for different drum sounds
Save the mixer preset once you find a sound you like
