How to Do a Sourdough Starter?
Mix equal parts flour and water in a clean jar
Stir until no dry flour remains
Cover loosely and leave at room temperature
Discard half of the mixture after 24 hours
Feed the starter with equal parts flour and water
Stir well after each feeding
Repeat discard and feeding daily
Keep the jar in a warm spot
Continue until the starter becomes bubbly and doubles in size
Use the starter when it is active and ready
