Open the Messages app
Open an existing conversation or start a new one
Tap and hold the microphone icon next to the text field
Speak your message
Release to send the voice message
To listen before sending, tap the play button
To delete before sending, tap the X or drag the recording away
If you do not see the microphone, check that iMessage is enabled and microphone access is allowed
You can also send a voice note in apps like WhatsApp, Messenger, or Voice Memos by using their record button
