Open Google Docs and create a new document

Click File

Click Page setup

Set margins to 1 inch on all sides

Set paper size to Letter

Set orientation to Portrait

Click OK

Select all text

Set font to Times New Roman

Set font size to 12 pt

Click Format

Click Line & paragraph spacing

Select Double

Click Format

Click Align & indent

Click Indentation options

Set left and right indentation to 0

Set special indent to First line

Set first line to 0.5 inch

Click Apply

Click Insert

Click Header and page number

Choose page number in the top right

Type the paper title in the header if required by your instructor

Type the title of the paper on the first page

Center the title text

Type your name

Type your institution

Type course information

Type instructor name

Type due date

Start the body text on a new line

Align all body text to the left

Use double spacing throughout the document

Add a References page at the end

Center the word References at the top of the page

List references in alphabetical order

Use hanging indents for each reference entry

Check spelling, spacing, and formatting before submitting
