Select the cell or range where you want validation
Go to the Data tab
Click Data Validation
In the Settings tab, choose the validation type
Set the allowed values or criteria
For a list, enter the source values or select a range
Optionally add an input message
Optionally add an error alert
Click OK
Test the validation by entering valid and invalid data
