Gather hair tinsel strands, a rat-tail comb, small elastics or microbeads, a loop tool or crochet hook, and scissors
Section a small piece of hair where you want the tinsel
Fold one tinsel strand in half
Place the folded loop under the small section of hair
Pull the loose ends of the tinsel through the loop
Tighten gently so the tinsel is secured to the hair
Add a second knot or secure with a microbead if needed
Repeat with more strands in the same section or other sections
Trim the tinsel ends to match the hair length if desired
Brush gently and avoid pulling on the tinsel
Remove by sliding the knot out or cutting the tinsel close to the attachment point
