Brush the hair to remove tangles
Gather a section of hair from the top of the head
Split the section into three equal strands
Cross the right strand over the middle strand
Cross the left strand over the middle strand
Add a small section of hair from the right side to the right strand
Cross the right strand over the middle strand
Add a small section of hair from the left side to the left strand
Cross the left strand over the middle strand
Continue adding hair from each side as you braid downward
Keep the braid tight and even
Finish with a regular three-strand braid at the end
Secure the braid with a hair tie
