Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C)
Line or grease a muffin tin
Mix dry ingredients in one bowl
Mix wet ingredients in another bowl
Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed
Fold in any add-ins if desired
Divide batter evenly into muffin cups
Bake until golden and a toothpick comes out clean
Cool in the pan for a few minutes
Transfer muffins to a wire rack to cool
