Thread a needle and knot the end of the thread
Bring the needle up through the fabric edge
Insert the needle back down a short distance away along the edge
Before pulling the thread tight, bring the needle up through the loop of thread
Pull the thread snug to form the first stitch
Repeat the same process at even intervals along the edge
Keep each stitch the same height and spacing
Maintain the thread loop on the same side each time
Continue until the edge is fully stitched
Tie off the thread securely at the end
