Thread a needle and knot the end of the thread
Align the fabric edges to be sewn
Insert the needle from the wrong side of the fabric
Use small, even stitches along the seam line
Keep the stitches close together for strength
Pull the thread through gently after each stitch
Continue stitching to the end of the seam
Tie off the thread securely at the end
Trim any excess thread
Press the seam flat if needed
