Open Instagram
Go to your profile
Tap the post, Reel, or Story draft you want to save
Open the draft
Tap the three dots or share options, if available
Select Save to device or Download, if shown
If no download option appears, use your phone’s screen recording or screenshot feature
For Reels or posts, save the draft by publishing it to a private audience or saving the media from your device before editing
For Stories, save the draft from the Story editor if the Save option is available
Check your device gallery or Photos app for the saved file
