Open Instagram and find the story you want to save
If it is your own story, tap the three dots and select Save or Save Video
If the story includes music, use Instagram’s archive or download option to keep the original audio when available
Use a screen recorder on your phone while the story plays to capture both video and music
On iPhone, open Control Center and start Screen Recording before playing the story
On Android, use the built-in screen recorder or a trusted screen recording app
If you are downloading your own story, check the story archive in Instagram and download it from there
If you need to save someone else’s story, only do so if you have permission
Use a reputable third-party downloader that supports stories with audio, if permitted in your region
Paste the story link into the downloader and choose the download option with audio
Save the file to your device and verify that the music is included
If the downloaded file has no sound, try a different downloader or use screen recording instead
Make sure your device volume is on if you are recording the story with audio
Keep in mind that some stories may have music restrictions that prevent direct downloading with sound
