Draw a wide oval shape for the top of the hat
Add a curved line across the bottom of the oval
Extend the sides downward to form the crown
Draw a wide, curved brim around the crown
Add a slight dip on the front and back of the brim
Refine the brim edges with smooth curves
Add a crease or dent on the top of the crown
Darken the outline of the hat
Erase extra sketch lines
Add shading to give the hat depth
