Draw a circle lightly as a guide (optional).
Draw a vertical line through the center.
Draw two horizontal lines to help place points (optional).
Place five points evenly around the circle (top, upper-right, lower-right, lower-left, upper-left).
Connect the points in a star pattern: start at the top point, draw to the lower-right point, then to the upper-right point, then to the lower-left point, then to the upper-left point, then back to the top point.
Erase the guide lines and any extra construction lines.
Trace over the star lines more firmly.
Add shading or outline thickness if desired.
