Draw a simple almond shape for the eye outline
Add a thicker upper eyelid line
Keep the lower eyelid line lighter and thinner
Place a large iris inside the eye shape
Draw a smaller pupil in the center of the iris
Add one or more highlights in the iris
Shade the upper part of the iris darker
Leave the highlight areas white
Draw eyelashes extending from the outer corners
Make the upper lashes thicker than the lower lashes
Adjust the eye shape for the character’s expression
Draw both eyes at the same height and size
Add eyebrows above the eyes
Refine the lines and clean up the sketch
