Draw a horizontal oval for the top of the cap
Add a slightly curved line beneath the oval for the underside
Connect the front and back edges with short diagonal lines to form the cap’s thickness
Draw a small square or button at the center of the top
Add a tassel hanging from the button
Draw the tassel string downward
Add a small cluster of lines or a fringe at the end of the tassel
Draw a wide trapezoid or rectangle below the cap for the graduation gown collar if desired
Darken the final outline
Erase extra guide lines
