Open your Google Doc
Click Insert
Select Drawing
Click New
Use the line, shape, text box, image, and scribble tools to draw
Click Save and Close
To edit the drawing later, click the drawing in the document and select Edit
To add a drawing from Google Drive, click Insert
Select Drawing
Click From Drive
