Draw a small square or center point as a guide
Draw a vertical line downward from the center
Draw a horizontal line to the right from the center
Draw a short horizontal line to the left from the top of the vertical line
Draw a short vertical line downward from the end of the right horizontal line
Draw a short horizontal line to the left from the bottom of the vertical line

Make all lines equal in thickness
Keep the arms evenly spaced and symmetrical
Erase the guide marks if needed
