Choose a Kool-Aid flavor with strong color
Wash hair and leave it slightly damp
Wear gloves and protect clothing and surfaces
Mix Kool-Aid powder with hot water until fully dissolved
Let the mixture cool to a safe temperature
Section hair for even application
Apply the Kool-Aid mixture to the hair thoroughly
Saturate the strands you want colored
Cover hair with a plastic cap or wrap
Leave it on for several hours or overnight
Rinse hair with cool water until water runs mostly clear
Avoid shampooing immediately after rinsing
Dry and style hair as usual
