Open the Messages app
Open the conversation containing the message
Touch and hold the message you want to edit
Tap Edit
Make your changes
Tap the checkmark to save
If Edit does not appear, the message cannot be edited
You can only edit iMessages
You can only edit a message within 15 minutes of sending it
The recipient will see that the message was edited
