Open Facebook and log in
Tap the menu icon
Go to Settings and privacy
Tap Settings
Open Accounts Center
Tap Personal details
Tap Account ownership and control
Tap Deactivation or deletion
Select the account
Choose Delete account
Tap Continue
Follow the prompts to confirm
Enter your password if asked
Confirm deletion
To deactivate instead
Open Accounts Center
Tap Deactivation or deletion
Select the account
Choose Deactivate account
Follow the prompts to confirm
To remove the app only
Delete the Facebook app from your device
Log out of Facebook on all devices if needed
