Remove grub/food sources: treat for grubs and other insect larvae if present
Improve yard conditions: reduce standing water and heavy thatch where feasible
Maintain a barrier: install underground hardware cloth or metal barriers along foundations/garden edges where practical
Consider professional mole control if infestation is heavy or persistent
Stop mowing/tilling over active runways during treatment window to avoid disrupting placement
